Markisha’s appreciation for fashion began at an early age when the Bronx-born designer would find herself immersed in her aunts clothing and accessories. Without having received any formal training n the industry, it was the humble beginnings of playing dress-up in her aunts closet that carried her enthusiasm for fashion to the next level.

In her free time Markisha would style her friends & begin to take clients as well as sketch of shoes in what would become the start of her namesake brand.Her passion fueled her eagerness to understand the ins and outs of each part of the industry.

Since launching M. Marie her collections have been coveted for its  craftsmanship and intricate design and details. Loved by women around the world for her fearless silhouettes and combinations of textures and volume, Markisha imbeds glamour, lust and desire into everything she designs.

A believer that “God is in the details”, Markisha runs her business with boutique sensibility, overseeing every design drawn, material selected, construction detail and factory production.
